Supporting living wages in the US

Our mission is to support worker livelihoods by urging employers to pay living wages, certifying and publicly recognizing employers, and promoting living wages as a matter of conscience within our community.

Our network is composed of programs that encourage and certify employers who pay a living wage, significantly impacting the lives of thousands of low-wage workers across the country. 

We will lift up and supports the work done by our partners, while growing and expanding local and state-based living wage projects.  By linking organizations across the nation and creating a formalized network, we can expand and support the movement for living wages, and lift up employers who believe it is good business to pay livable wages to all workers

We exist to promote a just economy where workers are paid fairly, employers are successful, and our community thrives as a result.

Engaging Employers in a Bold New Strategy

We see benefit from engaging supportive businesses in partnership with movement groups. This network supports and provide resources for the creation of certification programs, which will recognize business owners who voluntarily pay their employees a living wage. To date, over 2,500 small and medium size businesses across the country have certified their willingness to pay a living wage to their employees. Expanding these programs will provide immediate wage benefits to workers and provide a key resource for recruiting high road business owners who are charting a path towards fair wages.
